Phone Numbers

Connect phone numbers to your agents to handle real phone calls.

Getting Started

Call2Fly AI supports three ways to connect phone numbers:

  1. Buy New Number - Purchase a number through Twilio or Telnyx
  2. SIP Trunking - Connect your existing number via SIP
  3. Bring Your Own - Port your existing number

Buying a New Number

Via Twilio

  1. Navigate to Phone Numbers in your dashboard
  2. Click the + button and select Buy New Number
  3. Select Twilio as your provider
  4. Choose your country and number type:
    • Standard: $2/month
    • Toll-free: $5/month
  5. Search for available numbers
  6. Select and purchase your number

Via Telnyx

  1. Navigate to Phone Numbers in your dashboard
  2. Click the + button and select Buy New Number
  3. Select Telnyx as your provider
  4. Search for available numbers (all $2/month)
  5. Select and purchase your number

SIP Trunking

Connect your existing phone number via SIP trunking:

  1. Click the + button and select Connect via SIP Trunking
  2. Enter your details:
    • Phone Number: Your number in E.164 format
    • Termination URI: Your SIP provider’s URI
    • Username: SIP trunk username (optional)
    • Password: SIP trunk password (optional)
    • Nickname: Friendly name for the number (optional)
  3. Click Save

Assigning Agents

Once you have a phone number, assign it to an agent:

  1. Find your number in the Phone Numbers list
  2. Click on it to open settings
  3. Select an agent from the dropdown
  4. Save your changes

Your number is now live and will route calls to the selected agent.

Managing Numbers

Updating Configuration

Modify number settings at any time:

  • Change assigned agent
  • Update SIP credentials
  • Configure call forwarding
  • Set business hours

Removing Numbers

To remove a number:

  1. Navigate to the number in your list
  2. Click the menu (⋮)
  3. Select Remove
  4. Confirm the action

Note: Removing a number from Call2Fly AI does not cancel billing with your provider. Cancel directly with Twilio/Telnyx if needed.

Best Practices

  • Test First: Always test your agent before connecting a production number
  • Backup Numbers: Keep backup numbers for failover
  • Monitor Usage: Track call volumes to optimize costs
  • Business Hours: Configure hours to manage when your agent is available
